Hey all! This week was stupendous. We talked about evangelism this week. You all know that I am not one of those people that goes out and preaches at others. I was so scared the entire time thinking they were going to make me do this at the end of the week. That is what we do, whenever we study something we take time and we practice what we study. So today was the day.
We had talked about how to approach people, how to direct the conversation, and how to be on the offensive instead of the defensive. My stomach was in knots, but God gave me peace. We went to Underground Atlanta and set up a prayer table. We all had smocks on that said "Prayer changes things" we then began to walk around in pairs and ask people what we could pray with them about. The response was amazing!
Most of the people were Christ followers, but there was this one woman I talked with who was not. I was able to draw out for her what God's desire for her was and help her understand better his plan for her. She did not want him at this time though. I prayed with her one more time that God would continue to work in her and she left. (It was a seed that was planted). Others were former drug addicts who came and asked us to pray that they continue to follow after God and continue to hold to him.
Yesterday, we went to a place where there is a large population of refugee children and tutored them and played with them in an after school program that is lead by a Christian man.
Also, on the way back from outreach I believe I saw a vision of a young girl who was black and whose religion was Islam. She was dressed in an orangish yellow head dress. That's all I saw, but just pray for her when you think of it.
Continue to pray for unity and wisdom and guidance for those of us in this school.
