I have been hesitant to discuss what God's done in me and called me to since I came back from Canada. I know God called me to go to Quebec. So I went. I spent a little less than a month on the living room floor of a complete stranger. When I went to Quebec I was full of expectation and hoping to see a mighty work of God happen there. I went and God worked in ways that I didn't expect.
I thought he was going to work in others lives, but the main work was to be done in my own life. I was able to talk about Christ with several people in Quebec and really felt that God was using me as a tool to chip away at the resentment of the people of Quebec and to see my own resentments. My daily routine in Quebec was to get up, pray about where to go, what to do, and when to go. Daily I felt God lead me to different areas of the city. I was able to help a Christian cafe when the owner became ill and was able to spend time tutoring some of the locals in English and see through some resentments that have been built up.
So many things that I learned in Quebec God is using to help me with what I am doing in Athens. By doing this it really has helped me let go of my fears of people and given me more courage to speak plainly to people about the knowledge that I have in Christ. I hope in the future to be better able to know French for I feel called to go back sometime, but my lack of language skills was such a barrier.
-God provided for my every step to Canada and back
